DeKalb – The Kishwaukee Special Recreation Association is holding an open house to meet the community at the Flagg-Rochelle Park District this week.
Kishwaukee Special Recreation Association is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based Recreation Therapy programs, Camp Maple Leaf in the summers, collaboration of Special Olympics programming, and Inclusion services to individuals with different abilities. Kishwaukee SRA is proud to announce the joining of two new park district member agencies – Flagg-Rochelle Park District and Sandwich Park District.
The Kishwaukee Special Recreation Association’s mission is “to serve all residents who have special needs and to facilitate the inclusion of these individuals into leisure programs” and now the organization supports its five park district member agencies – DeKalb, Flagg-Rochelle, Genoa Township, Sandwich, and Sycamore.
At the open house event meet the staff, explore the different programs that Kishwaukee SRA provides. An open house with the Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District is going to be held on April 22 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Flagg-Rochelle Park District’s Teen Town facility Teen Town, 101 8th Avenue.
